So, I totally thought I had posted this yesterday, but apparently I did not. Opps!
I hope that everyone had a terrific Christmas. We were busy, busy, busy traveling to different family members’ houses.
On Christmas Eve it was off to Matt’s Grandparent’s house to celebrate with his side of the family. We usually go to church with them, but since both girls were sick, we decided to let them rest (and not spread their germs to others).
We ate, drank, and had a great time.
Until 8pm, when Autumn decided she had had enough, and turned into an overtired and hungry baby. To tired to eat, to hungry to sleep… it’s a vicious cycle. We got to listen to her cry most of the ride home (which was only about 20 minutes thankfully). I was able to get her to calm down thankfully by just letting her chill on the boppy nursing on and off.
The next day was Christmas! Both girls slept until about 8am (their normal time) which was nice. I totally forgot my camera at Matt’s grandparents’ house, which meant I had to take Christmas morning pics with my phone. Not the best, but you gotta work with what you have, right?
Annabelle got a few books, and some Melissa and Doug play food for her kitchen. We also got her some big legos and play dough scissors.
Later that morning my parents came over to exchange gifts, then it was nap time for the girls, and relaxing time for me.
PS, I’ll be sharing on the blog what I am creating soon, so be sure to check back. |
After the girls naps it is off to my cousins to celebrate with my side of the family (which is much bigger than Matt’s side). We brought a plate of cookies which included these sugar cookies I made:
Unfortunately we had to leave early than I wanted, since Autumn was starting to get overwhelmed again. So after we got it was Autumn chilling on the Boppy while Matt and I watched the newest Mission Impossible.
The next day it was off to Matt’s mom’s house to exchange gifts with her and my sister in law.
Overall it was great to see everyone, but a bit overwhelming with a two year old and a three month old.
