The Fourth of July holiday made for a fast week, didn’t it?? I wish that every week could be like that, but alas, I know next week is going to be brutal. But let’s not think about that. Let’s take a look back at the week.
ONE: Fourth of July Recap
This year, as usual, we headed over to my parent’s neighbors house for their annual 4th of July party. Friends, food, homebrew and an all around good time!
I’m just going to go ahead and do a bit of a photo dump here.
Now, if you follow me on IG, you know that I made myself a dress. However, when I got to the party a gust of wind nearly had me flashing everyone, so I exited stage right, drove home (we live about 2 minutes from my parents, so it wasn’t a big deal) and changed. I am going to have to make some alterations to my dress so that I can actually wear it.
TWO: 300 Hours Outside
I am now up to 100 hours and 30 minutes! There were a few days of not getting outside due to heat/ running errands. I’m going to have to step up my game here and try to get back on track (as of now I’d like to at 118 hours).
A few more pics from the Fourth. Â Since other than that we’ve been cleaning/ errand running.
Annabelle was loving all the kids that were there. Â She will have no problem making friends in preschool.
THREE: Summer Reading
I finished reading another book, Leave Me, written by the same author of If I Stay. I liked this book better than Humans, Bow Down, but I’m still looking for a real winner.
Brief summary: Maribeth, mom of two, has a heart attack. Finding it difficult to recover (since everyone is still relying on her) she packs her bags and leaves. The story is about her “finding herself” again.
FOUR: Instagram
Can we take a minute here and talk about IG?? I made no growth in a month due to a fact that I had over 100 people follow then unfollow me once I followed them. Yes…. over 100! Aren’t people over that game already? If you follow me, then unfollow me, I will turn right around and unfollow you. I’ve kind of given up trying to get to 5K followers by the end of the year. I’m a bit disappointed, but am tired of devoting lots of time and getting nothing in return. #truestory #sorrynotsorry
FIVE: On the Blog
First, I’d love for you all to take a look at my new menu at the top of the page. I’ve added some things, and hopefully have it organized a bit better. Let me know what you think.
Second, here’s what was on the blog, in case you missed it!
