Copy Cat Tagalongs

/

I hope this Wednesday is finding everyone well!  Today I wanted to share with you a copy cat Tagalong recipe. I’m sure many of you have seen this before, but just in case…

Making these copy cat cookies is so easy!

All you need are four ingredients, which are more than likely already in your pantry.

So how do you turn these into delicious cookies?

Step One:
Put about a tablespoon of peanut butter on a ritz cracker.

Step Two:
Place the peanut butter covered crackers in the freezer for about an hour.

Step Three:
Melt 1 cup of chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of vegetable shortening over a double boiler.

**Note: I used Meijer brand chocolate chips which have a slightly different taste than Nestle. I think they would have turned out better with Nestle chocolate chips.

Step Four:
Drop a peanut butter covered cracker in the melted chocolate. Flip it over a few times to insure it is all covered, and place on a plate covered with parchment or wax paper.

Step Five:
Place cookies back in the freezer, and wait for about 30 minutes.  Take them out and enjoy!
