I hope that everyone had a great weekend! Ours was pretty busy, filled with a lemonade stand, a baptism, and a birthday celebration. I, in true Danielle fashion, totally skimped on the pictures. #bloggerfail
So on Friday and some of Saturday our neighbors hosted a lemonade stand with a raffle. I made some cookies and a sun hat for the raffle.
This wasn’t just any lemonade stand, by the way, it was an Alex’s Lemonade stand.
Alex’s Lemonade Stands raise money to help find a cure for childhood cancer. You see, Annabelle’s friend (our neighbor’s who hosted the stand) has cancer. She’s not even three yet. Not. even. three. Â We spent lots of Friday and Saturday over there between the girls naps. Annabelle just kept wanting to play, so play we did (I told my friend to just tell us if she wanted us to go, but thankfully she didn’t). It amazes me how strong this little girl is. How strong her mom and dad are. I can’t even write this without getting teary eyed, so if you could please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Saturday was also my nephew’s Baptism, so it was off to church in the afternoon. I was super excited when Sarah (my sister in law) asked Matt and I to be the Godparents. Matt thinks I’m a bit silly to get so excited about having a nephew and being Godparent’s, but as an only child it was kind a big deal to me. Thankfully the little man did a good job (and Autumn didn’t scream and cry when Matt’s grandfather held her). After Mass we headed back to my sister and bother in law’s place for some pizza and cake.
Come see how we spent our #weekend in our #weekendrecap. #ontheblog Click To TweetThen Sunday, we headed over to my parent’s to celebrate my Dad’s birthday. I took a picture with my mom’s phone, and I asked her to send it to me. We’ll see if she does. 😉
We were kept quite busy!
