I hope that everyone had a restful weekend, and is ready to start the new week!
Friday
On Friday Aubrie and I worked on some Spiderman Legos while the older girls were at school. I’ve gotta say I was pretty impressed with how much she was able to do on her own.
That night we got Chinese food for dinner and it was so tasty! It has been at least 4 years since we’ve gotten it. And now at least we will have a few days of leftovers. Score not having to cook.
I also got my act together and started finishing up this sweater that I started knitting months ago. It is for Annabelle, but unfortunately I think I made it a little short, and a little wide. I will have to see if I can add some length to it some how. I didn’t use a pattern, so was just sort of winging it, but I learned through my mistakes.
Saturday
On Saturday I finished the book Envy and got started on my new book from the library, The Choice. It is the third book in the Dragon Heart trilogy by Nora Roberts. I was so excited when I saw it at the library, as I had just been wondering when the last book would come out. If you like fantasy mixed with some romance, for sure check out the series.
That night we headed to my MIL’s house for pizza. Her brother was in town, so she had the family over. My niece and nephew were there (but their parents couldn’t make it). The amount of energy with five kids ages 4-10 in pretty intense. I love that my girls get to grow up so close to their cousins.
Sunday
On Sunday I woke up with a cold (booo). The night before I had a scratchy throat, but kept my fingers crossed that maybe it was just the crazy weather. No such luck. So we stayed home from church, and I tried to relax as much as I could.
The girls each did some Lego building, and had some fun playing on the switch (which they aren’t allowed to do during the week).
I was feeling well enough to finish up some laundry and make a quick batch of banana muffins (we have a lot of frozen bananas that I am trying to use up. Plus a muffin makes for a great snack at school), and zucchini muffins. But that for sure did it in for me, and I spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch.
I hope everyone has a fabulous week!!
