Simple Hot Chocolate Mix

/

So I know that some of you are out and about in shorts and t-shirts, but, here in the midwest, it’s still pretty much winter, hence sharing this super simple hot chocolate mix. In all honesty I’ve been meaning to blog this for the past two months, but either I didn’t have time to take some pictures, or other posts needed to be scheduled first. I am glad I can finally share this hot chocolate mix. But before I do, just a funny little graphic about the weather here.

I honestly expect at least one more snowfall before spring is really here (for the three days it lasts before turning into summer). But, onto the recipe! It’s really easy to make. Just mix everything together and keep in an air tight container.

Hot Chocolate Mix

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups powder sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 1 package instant pudding (the small box)

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients together. Use 1-2 tablespoons per 6oz mug.

So simple, and it keeps for good amount of time. Plus it tastes extra yummy with some homemade marshmallows! Although I haven’t tried it, I’m sure you could change up the flavor a little depending on what kind of pudding you use. We went with chocolate, but I think cheesecake would taste awesome as well.

Depending on your preference I would use 1-2 tablespoons per 6oz of hot milk.

We also used this mix when we made hot cocoa bombs and it was so tasty! I put a little less mix into the bombs than I would normally use for a cup since the candy shell from the hot cocoa bomb added a lot of richness to it.

Sourdough Bread with Fresh Milled Flour

If you’ve ever tried making sourdough with 100% fresh milled flour, you know it behaves very differently than store-bought flour.
