Target Challenge [August]

I’m so glad I got my butt in gear so I could participate in this months $10 Target challenge!

I, however, made a bit of a mistake.  After rushing to get the kids and myself out the door I arrived at Target only to realize that it was almost Autumn’s nap time.  I didn’t get to browse quite as long as I’d like, and like in months past I completely forgot to snap pictures while shopping.

But, I participated none the less, so that’s gotta count for something.  Right?

So, what did I end up leaving the store with?

I think I ended up with some great stuff!  My first stop (as always) was at the Target Dollar Spot.  With back to school season upon us I knew I’d find some stuff I could use with Annabelle  (since I’m going to try to get back into “teaching” her), and I did.  I bought some number matching cards, where you put a clothes pin on the corresponding number (like, one sun= clothes pin on the number one).  While I’m sure I could DIY that, you can’t beat $1.  I also got a number and alphabet puzzle.

After that I kind of meandered around the store.  I picked up some trail mix, since you can’t go wrong with that.  At that point in time I was at about $6.50, so I went on the hunt for something around $2.50.  I have been wanting to try a new dry shampoo (I have one that I’m not found of), and saw the one above for about $2.50.  I’ve only used it once, but I *think* I like it better.

Not my best haul (check out my first challenge… seriously, I was so proud), but a good one.

Also, I was super bummed that they didn’t have the Oregon Trail card game. I totally wanted to buy it, and it was all out  ( I guess that means I’ll have to go back soon… darn).

Also, since this post is void of pictures, I wanted to share a preview of a yummy desert I will be posting soon.  Be sure to check back later this week or next!
