Baby Siero #2: 30 Weeks

Sorry, no 29 week photo since I was Up North during that time.  It’s onto the 30 week bump photo!

Baby Size: Baby girl is as big as a head of cabbage.

Gender: Girl

Cravings: Ice cream I guess?  I have been having a bowl every few days, with M&Ms.  Once again I really love sweets, so it’s not uncommon.

Symptoms: So tired.  I don’t remember being this tired with Annabelle at 30 weeks.  Of course I wasn’t chasing around a two year old (although I was teaching a class of 20 first graders, which can be challenging).  I also feel like I’m much bigger than I was with Annabelle, so that may be something as well.

Sleep: What’s that?  I’m up 4-5 times a night to flip from side to side.

Movement: Yes!  And I love it. 🙂

Clothing:  Lately it’s been pretty hot, which stinks since my maternity shorts aren’t the most comfy.  I should invest in some more jersey dresses like the one I’m wearing in the picture.  Dresses though, aren’t the best for playing with a 2 year old.

Miss Anything:  We are going to a wedding today, and I’m going to miss toasting with champagne and getting some drinks from the bar.  A Shirley Temple just isn’t the same as a rum and coke, or amaretto sour.

Big Sister:  She’s doing alright.  After a week with Mimi and the great grandparents it’s been a bit of an adjustment (a.k.a. the word no exists again).  I know she is two, but holy batman, some of the tantrums she throws.  I just sit down and wait for her to be done.  They can last about 5-10 minutes, and when she is done with her major screaming I ask if she wants a hug and then we snuggle.

Getting Excited About: I don’t know if I’d call it excited as much as nervous.  It’s only 10 weeks away?!  I can’t get over that.  I’m also a bit nervous I will go into labor during a football game.  Why am I nervous you may ask.  I am delivering at the UofM hospital (University of Michigan).  As much as I root against UofM (die hard Spartan fan here), they have a huge football program, and lots and lots of fans.  Driving to the UofM campus (which is where the hospital is located) during a football game would take for. ev. er.  So here’s to hoping baby girl will decide to make her appearance not during a football game.
