October Goals and September Recap {2020}

Can you believe that it is already October?? As much as I love summer I was glad to welcome Fall, the crisp mornings, and the changing leaves back into my life. My goals for September were rather short, and I unfortunately didn’t get to all of them. But I am working on giving myself grace since everything is still pretty crazy.

~Create a Fall Festivals Around the World unit– Nope I didn’t get to this, and I probably won’t. I do however plan on talking about different types of communities around the world (and within the US), and talk about different festivals they celebrate in the fall. I already touched on Day of the Dead, and we made these sugar cookie skulls. Can you guess which ones I decorated and which ones the girls made? I plan on doing a quick tutorial on the blog, so be on the look out.

~ Finish the downstairs playroom enough to use it– we were making such good progress, but then we kind of got burnt out. We also need to wait a little bit until we can buy the floor.
~ Drink enough water– my water intake has been crap this month.
~ Go to the apple orchards: we did get this done! We went to our normal orchard with my parents.

Then Annabelle and I went to a cider mill with a few friends.

~ Finish my crochet witch: I got this done too! I was hoping to get it posted on the blog, but I honestly don’t see that happening. Maybe I’ll makes some changes and post an elf instead.

~ Post the crochet monster: I started to type it all out, but then I got overwhelmed and stopped.
~ Stay sane : I guess I’ll give myself this one, even though it was kind of a tough month. Some days were great, and some days were not.

Alright, onto my October goals! I think I am actually feeling well enough mentally to do a few more goals than I have been doing. So I’ll be breaking up my goals into categories like I have in the past.

Blog

~Print up a calendar to plan posts for this month, and start next month
~ Create new pins for old posts. I have already been doing this, but I want to keep up on it as Pinterest likes new images (even if they link to old posts)
~ Keep up on commenting on friends posts, and find a few new bloggers to follow
~Post the monster crochet for real

Crafts

~Sew the girls all a Halloween shirt or dress
~Do a simple Halloween Fair Isle knit coffee tumbler cozy
~Create a fall graphic t-shirt (and hopefully get the file on the blog)
~Start Aubrie’s Christmas stocking
~Start crocheting myself some slippers
**Ok, I’m trying not to go overboard on the crafts, since I have a tendency to have like 6 things going at once.

Health

~Work out five days a week
~No drinking alcohol during the week
~Drink 8-10 cups of water a day (64-80 oz)
~Be in bed by 10 during the week

Other

~Take “school pictures” of Annabelle
~Get pictures of girls for Christmas card
~Stay on top of planning school for Annabelle
~Finish Halloween costumes
~Limit social media

So there you have it! I hope that I’m not to ambitious. 🙂
