Pinterest Mom
What comes to mind when you hear that phrase?
A perfectly quaffed mom, with impeccably dressed children?
A mother serving her children all organic meals made to look like cute phase?
Maybe a mom with a house that is always in order and always clean?
Would you believe me if I told you, while those all could be Pinterest Moms, they don’t have to be?
I consider myself a Pinterest mom.
I very rarely look put together, and since Annabelle dresses herself (as well as her little sister) they don’t exactly look “put together” all the time. I don’t buy organic, and my house is usually pretty much a mess.
But, I still love Pinterest. I love planning a great party, complete with homemade treats and awesome decorations. I love creating. Sewing my kids Halloween costumes makes me smile. I enjoy doing crafts with my kids. Everything I do, I do it because I like to. It brings me pleasure. Do I get excited when something turns out well, and want to share it? Of course I do. So I pin it, or post it to Facebook.
I know that my thing is not your thing, and that’s fine. You’ve gotta do what works for you, and if being a “Pinterest Mom” doesn’t work for you, then that is a-okay. Like I said before, I don’t judge. I just ask that you don’t judge me.  We are all on this journey together right? As moms we should be building each other up, not tearing one another down.
