Countdown to Halloween [Week Three]

/

Can you believe that Halloween is this Saturday?!  I’ve gotta say I am super excited to take Annabelle out Trick-or-Treating.  The past two years were just to miserable for me to take her out  (plus one year she had a bit of a cold).  I also think now she is old enough to kind of understand what is going on.

Here are some Halloween-y highlights from our weekend.

On Saturday we had some practice by going to the “Spooky Walk in the Woods”.  This is an event that my parents neighborhood puts on every year.  In fact, it was something I always participated in as a child, then once I got old I helped set up.  It was so much fun to take Annabelle!
Here are some pictures I took with my phone.  My dad took some pictures with his camera so as soon as I get them, I can post some more.

Annabelle is Hello Kitty.  I crocheted her hat and made a simple tutu dress.

We also had our annual Halloween party Saturday night.  I spent some time making cookies for the party.  I don’t think they turned out half bad.

They took me a while to make between making the cookies, and letting the icing dry between steps.  The fact that I only had one tip/bag to using for outlining, and one bottle to use for flooding the cookies.
I made:

They were yummy as well.

Of course Autumn was fussy basically the entire time people were over.  Her fussy time (aka witching hour) is from about 7-10.  Some of my friends tried to hold her to give me a break, but she was still not happy.  At least I got a bit of a break.

And I finally got around to getting my Halloween chalkboard done.

Hope everyone else had a super weekend!
