Ladybug Quiet Book

I hope that everyone had a great weekend!  Lot’s of football watching around here.

Then on Sunday I devolved a toothache, well by that night it was pretty bad.  The next day even worse (like I only ate a banana since it hurt to chew hurt.  Those of you who know me well, know that if I don’t eat every 3-4 hours I am not such a nice person.  So it surprised me I wasn’t a totally nuts person).  I went to the dentist where he told me what I feared… I think you need a root canal.  Luckily he was able to get me into an endodentist that day.  It was a long day, but thankfully my tooth no longer hurts (although it is a bit sore today).

Today I am going to share with you another page of my quite book.

This page is a number matching page.

I started by cutting a leaf shape out of green felt.  I then sewed on Velcro and numbers I embroidered (sorry I don’t have more step by step directions, I couldn’t find the ones I took).  After, I sewed the leaf on the page of the book with a zig zag stitch).

Next up was making the lady bugs.  To do this I cut out two red circles for each lady bug.  On one circle I sewed on a head, dots, then hand sewed a straight stitch to make the “wings”.  On the second circle I hand sewed a piece of Velcro (opposite of that on the leaf).

I then sewed the two circles together.

Then, you can put your lady bugs on your leaf!

On the opposite page I will have number words to match the lady bugs too.  I realize that Annabelle won’t get much out of this now, but maybe by the time I finish the book she will. 😉

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend.  We did some football watching (the Spartan’s lost, it was a bit sad) Saturday and Sunday (and will be watching more today, Lions on MNF)!  I recently made Annabelle a MSU dress to wear, and am very happy with how it turned out! Check it out…

Wow… I can’t believe it’s been a while I last posted! Sorry about that, I am here and alive.  Between a busy week, Annabelle deciding she needs to get up early, and then having no internet Thursday, I haven’t had a chance to sit down and blog.  Then this was a super long post, so…
