Father’s Day Craft

/

Linking up with Mandy for the weekly blog hop!

This past weekend was so beautiful!  Annabelle and I spent lots of time playing outside.  We even got out an inflatable splash pad that her great-grandparents got her for Easter.  She wasn’t all to sure about it, but liked siting on my lap on the side and splashing in it.

She even tried to get the water squirting out of the fish…

I made Annabelle skirts for Memorial Day/Fourth of July, I think she rocked them well.

Look for skirts soon on my Etsy page. 🙂

Now that Memorial Day is over, I start thinking about Father’s Day.  I wanted to share with you what I made last year.  It’s easy, cute, and doesn’t cost a lot.

To make this:
(sorry there are no pictures, I made this last year, but think the direction are easy enough to follow)
1. Find (or buy) a frame.
2. Make a text box the same size of the frame.  Use what ever phrases you would like, separated by a heart.  Pick phrases or words that are special to whoever the frame is for.
3.  Use a stamp pad and put your babies feet in it.  Make three or four stamps and choose the two best.
4.  Cut out around the feet, glue the heels together so they form a “heart”.
5. Use the feet as a “stencil” to cut out a heart.  Then use that heart to cut out a slightly bigger heart.
6. Glue the feet on the small heart, then the small heart on the big heart.
7.  Finally glue the pieces you just glued together onto the text that you made, then put it in the frame!
