Sorry for the long hiatus. Between Annabelle’s iffy napping then spending Thanksgiving Up North I haven’t had a lot of time to sit down and write a blog post.
It is hard to believe it is already December and Christmas is a mere 22 days away. We are hosting my family’s Christmas this year, which means there will be about 17 people for dinner at our house. Matt and I will be supplying the main course, drinks, some munchies and cookies. Everyone else brings a dish to pass, so it isn’t too bad. I am trying to stay on top of all the cleaning so I’m not stressed out closer to the holiday.
Before we left to go Up North I put up many of the Christmas decorations and I changed my mantel. I am still trying to get a good picture of it, but here is one so you can get a general idea.
I also changed up the chalkboard. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out. Elf is one of my favorite Christmas movies. Much to Matt’s dismay I often spend the holiday season (and the rest of the year if I am honest with myself) quoting it.
I wanted to write a longer post, but Annabelle is up (from a much needed longish nap). Till next time.
