Five on Friday

Well hello Friday, glad we meet again!  It’s time to link up with Darci for the Five for Friday.

1.  It’s October!  The leaves are starting to change color, the weather is getting cooler (except this week where it is in the upper 70s/ low 80s… Come on weather, get it together), and Halloween is coming!  Every year my neighbors (well I guess my parent’s neighbors) throw a pumpkin carving party.  A few years back they said they were done, but I got an invite once again!  They have been having this party for 28 years I think, and I have been going for 15 years (ever since they moved in 14 years ago)… wow, that makes me feel super old! At any rate these people create some amazing pumpkins (and have won prizes).  Here is mine from last year.


2.  My baby girl has become a champion sitter!  Suddenly she can sit up for long periods of time without toppling over.  In fact, I think she likes sitting better than being on her tummy or on her back. 

3.  Annabelle slept 10 hours straight last night and I slept for 6 hours straight!  It is amazing how rested I feel with 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep!  When she woke up at 4:00 to eat I wasn’t really able to fall back asleep (I tried for about and hour), so I got up, worked out and showered, all before she woke up!  Now I can spend her nap time doing important things blogging.  🙂
4.  Although I haven’t watched it yet, I am super exctied that Vampire Diaries is back!  I know I’m almost 30 (eek!) and watch a show about vampires, but why wouldn’t you when you get to watch him?

I’m still upset he wasn’t cast as Christian Grey.  Sigh…
5.  Annabelle will be getting her helmet for brachycephaly on Monday.  I’m a bit worried that it will take a while to adjust to it.  I just hope it all goes well.
