Homemade Marshmallow Rice Krispy Treats

These rice krispy treats are made with with homemade marshmallows and so tasty.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 tbsp gelatin
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/8 cup agave syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 stick butter (melted)
  • 1 cup sprinkles
  • 5 cups rice krispies

Method
 

  1. Sprinkle gelatin over 1/4 cup water to proof. Do this in a mixing bowl.
  2. While it proofs, heat sugar, agave syrup, and water over stove. Allow to come to 240° without stirring.
  3. Once the sugar reaches 240° pour it over the gelatin and beat at high speed for 5 minutes. Stop and add vanilla then, beat for a few more minutes.
  4. Stir in melted butter.
  5. Fold in rice krispies and sprinkles.
  6. Press into a pan and wait for about 10 minutes then cut and serve.
