Since it’s fourth Friday of the month, it’s time to bring you Five things that Bring you Joy. This month you get a bonus one, since I had such a hard time picking!
One: February Break
This week Annabelle has been on February break, and I love it! I mean don’t get me wrong, I love the school that she goes to, but it’s been nice to just relax at home. The only thing we had to do this week was go to swim class.
Two: Annabelle and Autumn’s love of reading
I’ve read to Annabelle since she was a baby, and did the same thing with Autumn. I am so grateful that they both love to read like their mama (even if it’s been far too long since I have read). Because our schedule is so busy, we have been finding it hard to get to the library. Annabelle kept asking, we finally made it there yesterday. I even picked up two books!
Three: Being Creative
This has been a busy month for projects for me. I was so happy when I finished all the items I’m donating to the auction for Annabelle’s school. I’ve shared them already, but I’m pretty proud, so imma share them again.
If you’ve been following me in IG then you know I’ve been having fun playing with watercolor. I made the tags on the items above, and have been playing around with new logo ideas for the blog.
Four: New Holiday Decor
Now that Valentine’s Day is behind us, I’ve started putting up some St. Patrick’s day decor. I really don’t have a whole lot, just enough to be festive.
I’m really digging this button art clover I made (which you can find direction for here) last year.
I also decided to whip up a fun watercolor sign.
Five: Party Planning
If you know me, then you planning is my thing. It’s no different when it comes to birthday parties. This is the first year Annabelle is having a “bigger” birthday party, and I’ve been spending the month of February trying to prep. This week we headed to the party store to pick up some supplies.
If you follow me on IG then you know I’m making her an Ariel dress to wear. I have all the material cut out, so now I have to sew. Since I want it to be surprise, I have to work on it when she is sleeping (or at school). I think it’s going to look pretty amazing, so I’m excited.
It's Friday and I'm talking #joy on the blog today! Come on over and check it out!! #otb #joy #motherhood Click To TweetSix: Friends
I am incredibly lucky to have so many friends near by! This month we were able to have a few play dates with our neighbor.
Plus, I was able to go on a girls overnight. Which was great.
This weekend I’ll be seeing one of my friends from childhood (who I’ve known for about 28 years) as well. I seriously don’t know where I would be without so many amazing people in my life. Friends are good for the soul ‘yo.
