**I am pleased to be partnering with Goldfish Swim School to bring you this post. While they are providing lessons free of cost to me, all thoughts and comments are my own. #goldfishswimschool #watersafety**
We have been taking lessons at Goldfish Swim School now for a few months, and it has been going fabulously. Both Annabelle and Autumn love their time in the water. In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’m sharing what we love about Goldfish Swim School.
10. The facility itself is great.
I love that Goldfish has individual changing “cabanas”. They are big enough that Annabelle, Autumn and I can all change in the same one.
They have a coloring station which is great if you have other kids who aren’t swimming. The fact that they have hair dryers to use after lessons is pretty awesome as well.
9. Lots of time options for lessons
There are so many options when it comes to classes at Goldfish, so it is highly likely you will find something that fits your schedule. I prefer going during the day, but I know friends who have their lessons at night. What I love is that Autumn and I have our lesson at the same time that Annabelle has hers. It is fabulous!
8. Flexibility
Goldfish is super flexible when it comes to missing lessons. Some places, if you miss a lesson or class, it’s too bad. You may or may not be able to make up the class. Due to sickness and doctor appointments we have had to miss a few classes. I simply had to call Goldfish and let them know we wouldn’t be coming to class. Later we were able to set up a make-up class. They have never been annoyed when I called, and are so understanding. It has made missing classes very un-stressful.
7. Warm water and warm air
We have taken swim classes where the water is downright frigid, which made it hard to get Annabelle excited about class. At Goldfish, that is not a problem. The pool water is so nice and warm. Not only that, but the actually pool deck is nice and toasty as well. In Annabelle’s class the instructor only takes one student into the water at a time, so its nice knowing she won’t be cold while waiting for her turn.
6. Ribbons for the kids
What kid doesn’t like ribbons?! At Goldfish students receive ribbons when they accomplish a task, hit a milestone, or move on to the next level.
5. Specific skills
Each swimming level at Goldfish has a specific set of skills the students need accomplish before moving up to the next level. At the end of each lesson Annabelle’s teacher tells me where she has been improving and what she still needs to work on. Parent’s are also given progress reports which displays the skills they have mastered, and the ones they still need to work on. We will be getting Annabelle’s progress report today. I’m excited to see how Annabelle is doing.
4. Family swim
Are you looking for a fun way to spend time with the family? Goldfish has you covered with family swim. What better way to spend time with the family than watching your child practice all the skills they have been learning? Since we take lessons during the day, it give Matt a chance to see the skills that Annabelle is working on.
3. Water safety
I love that at Goldfish water safety is important. It’s not just Annabelle that is learning how to safe in the water, Autumn is as well.
2. Adult time
As a stay at home mom, spending time with adults during the day doesn’t always happen. When I take Autumn to swim lessons not only do I get to see her have fun in the water, I also get to socialize. It’s a win-win!
1. The teachers
The thing I love most about Goldfish, the teachers! They really are great at their job. They are kind and caring, and I feel 100% confident in their abilities. Annabelle is a bit nervous, but that doesn’t matter. Her teacher continues to work at her speed, so there is no pressure. Autumn’s teacher is also great! He interacts with the little ones like a pro (which, he is).
So, as you can see, Goldfish Swim School pretty much rocks. 🙂
