Currently it is 7:24am. I have worked out, showered, and am now enjoying my breakfast and a cup of coffee while sitting at my kitchen table. How is this possible?! you may ask.
The past two days Annabelle has slept in until 8am (today will be day number three of sleeping in). She has finally gotten into a routine of going to bed around 7. She gets up once or twice to nurse, then pretty much goes right back to sleep. I love that she is still up when Matt gets home and that he gets to spend some time with her. She takes two naps a day, although now they are back on the short side (about 45 minutes-an hour, for about a week she was taking 1 1/2ish hour naps) since she is sleeping so much at night. You know what, I’ll take the two shorter naps if it means she sleeps in and I can have some down time in the morning. I used to work out during her first nap which meant my workouts were short and rushed. That also meant I didn’t shower till later, and had less time to get things done around the house. I’m hoping that this trend of sleeping in sticks around for a while, because it is nice! With Daylight Savings Time coming up, not to sure what will happen though…
In other news, can you believe that tomorrow is Halloween! All of a sudden October is gone and November is upon us (which means soon it will be Thanksgiving, then Christmas… yes, I said it, Christmas! I am one of those nuts who starts listening to Christmas music way too early). I love this time of year and all the holidays that go with it. At any rate, let’s get back to Halloween.
I’m a bit sad that tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and miserable. I was planning on taking Annabelle trick-or-treating over in my parents neighborhood (which is right across the road from us). I thought it would be fun to go to a few of their neighbors who I knew growing up, but if it is raining we will be staying at our house. Yesterday I snapped some more Halloween-y pictures of my babe. It’s just so much fun watching her explore all the new things in her environment. She had lots of fun picking up, turning and hitting the pumpkin.
I hope that you and your family have a fun, safe and spooky Halloween!
