The weekend has once again come to a close and another Monday is upon us. This weekend proved to be pretty busy! On Saturday I went to a bridal shower for my sister-in-law Sarah. Two of her other bridesmaids were there, so it was fun to chat with them. One of them I already knew from working in the good old Akers/Hubbard Cafe at State, so it was fun to catch up with what was new in her life. Sarah’s wedding is quickly approaching, and I am super excited!
Annabelle also turned five months old on Saturday. I can’t believe how big she is getting! It’s crazy to think that next month she will be half a year old!
On Sunday I went to my Uncle’s house for a family get together. I got to see a lot of my cousins and their kids which is great! Many of them hadn’t met Annabelle before, so they were pretty excited to see her. What super great is that there are a few younger kids (ages 2, 5, and 6) in the family, so when Annabelle gets older there will be kids close to her age to play with! 🙂
Annabelle has gotten used to sleeping in her crib, although she still doesn’t nap for longer than 45 minutes (makes it super hard to get stuff done), and her night sleep has been less than stellar lately. I’m wondering if she is teething, although I don’t feel any teeth coming in. I am slowly trying to increase her awake time to see if that will help length naps (so far not so much. but maybe after a few days). That will hopefully help make her bedtime a little later as well, since she currently fights her fourth nap like a mother. She usually ends up not taking it, which in turn makes her bedtime early. I am hoping that it starts to work itself out! The good thing is that she usually goes down for her naps without much of a fuss. Going down for the night however is 50/50 (once again, I think this has to do with her lack of a fourth nap, and me pushing her to stay awake a little longer before bed).
