Hello, and welcome to my blog! I have decided to take the leap and join the many moms who blog about their lives with kids. Before becoming a stay at home mom I was a first grade teacher. It was hard to say goodbye at the end of the year (especially since it took me quite some time to find the job), but I am excited to start this new life journey.
I met my husband at Michigan State and after about three years of dating he proposed, and a year later we got married. About four years later, we decided it was time to start a family (well add to our family, we have two cats as well). We currently have one precious little girl (who is currently taking one of her first naps in her crib.. After putting her back to sleep three-four times in the last 40 minutes, lets hope she stays down!). My husband and I are both huge football fans (college, pro, and fantasy… Yes I play fantasy football, and love it!) I can’t wait to dress Annabelle up in her MSU gear so she can cheer the Spartans on with mom and dad!
Beside being an avid football fan I love being crafty. I don’t kid myself into thinking I’m fantastic, but it’s fun to do, and every now and then I surprise myself. :). I also love to cook and bake. I love nothing more than to see the enjoy net people get when eating something I have made. In fact one of my favorite quotes, which I found on a Starbucks cup a few years back, is: “baking may be regarded as a science, but it’s the chemistry between the ingredients and the cook that give desserts life. Baking is done out of love, to share with family and friends and see them smiled.”- Anna Olson
And there are the cries… 20 minutes isn’t too bad. Till next time!
