It’s hard to believe it’s been about a week and a half since we brought Autumn home from the hospital. Matt was able to stay home with us for a week, which was wonderful! Since I had a c-section, and am not supposed to lift anything heavier than a baby for about a month, my mom and MIL have been over this week, and will come over next week, to help me out. It’s great to have family so close!
I took a bunch of newborn photos of Autumn when she was a few days old, and this one is probably my favorite.
Here it is in color:

Man oh man, I love those sleepy smiles!
In other news, this past weekend I woke up on Saturday feeling pretty awful. That night my right breast was super sore, and felt like it wasn’t getting empty. When I woke up, it hurt to move my arm, I felt achy and had a fever. After some quick googling, it seemed I had mastitis. I gave triage a call who said, it sounded like I could. They told me to come in, but since the hospital is a good 40 minutes away, I was able to go to urgent care. So we gave my parents a call to come and watch Annabelle, packed Autumn up, and made our way to urgent care. We waited for about an hour, saw a doctor, and I was able to get some antibiotics. By the next day I was feeling loads better. Hopefully I don’t get that again, it was not fun!
Yesterday, my MIL and I went to the pet store and Target. It was my first time out (not counting urgent care) since having Autumn. We weren’t out for that long, but it wore me out.
Other than that, not much going on. We’ve started some tummy time, which Autumn is tolerating much more than Annabelle did. She is even lifting her head a bit!
I am also trying to get Autumn on an eat/wake/sleep schedule. Sometimes though she wants to go right back to sleep after eating, no mater how much I try to keep her up. Since she is still so young, I try to keep things baby led.
Well, that’s all for now! Thanks for reading. 🙂
