Now that we are nearing the end of July I think it’s time to revisit my summer bucket list.
Since our last check in, we have visited a beach (Lake Michigan) and I completed my photo taking back drop! Matt and I have gotten to go out with Annabelle a few times. Annabelle spent the weekend at Mimi’s and we went out to dinner, then when we were Up North we got out for a “day date”. This past weekend Annabelle spent the night at Grammy’s and Papa’s so Matt and I could go to a wedding. I have already read two books this month, so I am on track with that as well. 🙂
Now, I am pretty excited about my photo backdrop!
Here is how the stand looks. It is set up for a “child”. More PVC can be added for an adult, which I’m not sure I would ever use. Check out the directions here.
And here it is with a backdrop I made. Easiest thing ever to sew! I just made two pockets, one at top and one at the bottom so that I can slip a pvc pipe through it. As you can see I left the selvedge edges.
And, yes I realize the baseboard isn’t quite long enough. I gotta get the hubby to help me with that part. Pretty sure we have some baseboard in the attic.
I gotta say, this worked great. Annabelle was super cooperative and allowed me to snap some pictures of her. The lighting was great, and I am happy with how they turned out. I’m posting two of each photo. One original and one with simple edits I made in PicMonkey. I have GIMP which I am slowly learning how to use.
Also I am trying to put my watermark in a more prominent spot, so that’s why it’s kind across her face.
