Today I am going share another sorting activity you can do. Check here for the first one I talked about.
This activity requires a little bit of prep work, but its not to difficult (I didn’t take pictures of the prep work since it really isn’t hard). To start off with you need to:
1. Gather toilet paper rolls and paint them the colors you want to work with. Purchase pom-poms that are the same colors as the toilet paper rolls you painted
2. Glue those toilet paper rolls to a piece of cardboard. I cut the back off of a cereal box and that worked great.
3. Find a box (in my case I just used the rest of the cereal box) to stand the cardboard in. This way the pom poms are contained as well.
4. Let your little one sort the colors by putting the pom-pom in the correct toilet paper roll.
It’s a fun way to explore colors. I always make sure to talk about the colors while we are using this. The more exposure she gets the better!
She still likes to pretend to put the colors in the wrong toilet paper rolls, laugh and say “noooooo”.
Are there any type of activities you would like to see? Comment below and let me know!
Also, I have finally joined Instagram! I have still have to make a follow me button, so for now feel free to find me and follow me! 🙂
