Well hello there Friday! I hope that everyone has had a nice week and will be able to relax this weekend.
We spent this week trying to stay warm while temperatures dropped quite low (like in the low teen, below 0 with wind chill). By Saturday temps are supposed to be up to 50 degrees (I’m hoping to get the outside Christmas lights up then).
Onto my five (totally random) things.
ONE:
The other day there was a beautiful sunset I was able to capture. To bad there are a bunch of power lines in it.
TWO:
As you may know if you read my blog yesterday, I made Annabelle a fleece poncho. It is reversible, and can be used in the car as a blanket. I shared them on Facebook, and I had a bunch of people ask if could make some for them. I an planning on putting them on Etsy… so be on the look out. If you are crafty, check out yesterday’s post where I give the directions on how to make them.
THREE:
I love crafting with Annabelle (well as much as you can craft with a 20 month old).
The other day I was reading Beth’s blog over at Our Pretty Little Girls and she shared a fun artist study of Van Gogh. She had her kids use crayons and watercolor to create Starry Night. I loved how they turned out, and figured I could do some fun crayon and water color activity with Annabelle.
I used this recipe to create my own non-toxic paints.
I am thinking of make some Christmas type ones as well.
FOUR:
I had meant to make these earlier in the season, but once again, I had too many other crafts I was doing. I finally got around to making them!
I call them tactile turkeys!
FIVE:
Shameless plug for our link party coming up! Starting next Wednesday, and going through to Christmas Eve Hope to see you there!
