I’ve been blogging for almost four years. Four years! That is crazy to me. I feel like I have come sooo far from when I first started. But somewhere in those years, it started becoming stressful, and not as fun. Stephanie over at Wife Mommy Me wrote a post yesterday that really resonated with me. If you are a blogger and are on the struggle bus (I am a frequent passenger), then you should head over there and read it.
So today, instead of a craft, or recipe, or other pin-able topic I just wanted to talk about life lately. With the exception of my Friday Five posts, I haven’t really just shared anything about me. So, that’s what today is all about! 🙂
So what have I been up to this summer?
In all honesty… trying not to lose my mind.
My girls seem to fight all. of. the. days. I’ve talked about it before, and I’m talking about it again. I know that many of you can relate. I can barely leave the room (you know to go to the bathroom, change a load of laundry) with out hearing screaming. I have my masters in early childhood education. I’ve taught three year old preschool, so one would think that I could handle two kids. Usually the bickering occurs like so:
Annabelle: I’m going to feed my baby a bottle.
Autumn: Runs like the wind to get said bottle
Annabelle: AHHH!!!! I was going to use that!!
tries to grab toy away from Autumn
Autumn: No!! No!! Mine!! I play!!!
The roles can often be reversed and Annabelle will grab a toy she know darn well that Autumn wants to play with. It’s just pretty much constant fighting. I am trying hard to teach them how to talk through it. Modeling how to ask to use the toy when the other is done. I also have started to praise, praise, praise whenever they are playing nice. I am worried for the teenage years.
Other than trying to stay sane, we’ve been trying to log in as much outside time as possible.
What about you?? What have you been up to lately?
