How is it almost the end of June?? I figured I’d check in to see how the girls and I are doing on our Summer Bucket List.
Splash Pad
We have made it to the splash pad a few times, and I am sure we will go more. We usually make a morning out of it and play at the park and eat lunch as well.
Read a Book
I am so proud to say that I read a book (I read Humans, Bow Down by James Patterson)! I know, it’s sad, but since becoming a mom I rarely take the time to get lost in a book. Growing up I would devour books. There is just something so great about it. When we head Up North for a week, I know I will read at least two more books, since my MIL and GIL (Grandparent’s In-Law???) will be there to love of the girls. It’s actually something I look forward to every year.
Picnic
Since we usually picnic at the splash pad, we have done this. We also eat lunch on the deck a lot. One day I’d like to try to go somewhere new, but we will see.
Go to the Zoo
So far we’ve been to the Zoo twice. Once with my parents and once with my friend. I’m sure we’ll hit it up a few more times. If you’re ever in the Metro Detroit area, and thinking about going to the zoo, be sure to hit me up!
Send Snail Mail
I am happy to say I sent 3-4 cards to some friends. I wanted to send more, but I ran out of stamps. As soon as I get more, I’ll be sending more out!
OK… Confession. We went strawberry picking on Monday. It was kinda spur of the moment, as I realized strawberry season was coming to an end. So I called my parents to see if they wanted to join (my mama did). I totally thought it was on our bucket list, but looking at it, it was not. It was on my 101 Things to do Outside.
At any rate, here is a picture from that.
