So, not only is Annabelle’s Birthday in March but mine is too! In fact she was due just around my birthday, and Matt was like “wouldn’t it be cool if she was born on your birthday?”. Being in labor on my birthday did not sound like fun to me.
Today I wanted to share 33 facts about myself.  The number has absolutely nothing to do with my age… 😉
1. I am an only child
2. I hated pizza (and lots of other foods. I was an incredibly picky eater as a child. Sorry Mom and Dad) growing up. My Mom had to send me with a PB&J to birthday parties since I wouldn’t eat pizza.
3. In the summer before 5th grade my family and I (and one of my friends) went on a three week vacation. We traveled to CA and back, stopping at a relatives house, Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Mammoth Cave, and King Island. We stayed in a pop camper during this excursion. I still don’t know how my dad talked my mom into it.
4. I broke my wist on said trip while at the Grand Canyon Camp Ground. Because of the elevation change (which would cause swelling) coming back to MI they couldn’t put a real cast on it. By the time I got back to MI it had already started to heal (but it wasn’t healing right), so they had to “push on it a little” (those are the exact words they told me. What they were really doing was basically re breaking/ re-setting my wrist…. not cool.
5. I danced for for 12 years, and still miss it. I have been known to dance around the kitchen while making
dinner.
6. The only two countries I have visited are Canada and the Dominican Republic (where we had our honeymoon).
7. Growing up I wanted to be a veterinarian. When I got to college I took BS 110 (the basic Biology course for people who wanted to go into a science-y major took. Everyone else took a different course). Well I barely passed that class, so decided maybe vet wasn’t the best choice.
8. I have read the Harry Potter series at least 7 times.
9. I have only ever lived in MI.
10. I have a hereditary hearing loss (my mom has the same “cookie bite” pattern). We have to watch movies with the subtitles on, since it usually pretty hard for me without.
11. I don’t think I have ever seen an episode of Fixer Upper… **gasp** 😉
12. I was in the marching band in High School. I played the clarinet.
13. I was also in two musicals (The Pajama Game and Sweet Charity) in high school. Nothing crazy, just the chorus, but it was so. much. fun. I loved being a part of it! Part of me wants to try out for a community musical this summer
14. I wasn’t much of a rebel growing up. The only “crazy” thing I did was get my cartilage pierced at 18. I like to live life on the edge 😉 I still have my cartilage pierced, and really like it.
15. I haven’t been to too many concerts. I have been to two Ataris concerts and a Jeremy Camp concert. If you know anything about the bands then you know that are pretty much complete opposites. The Artaris are a punk (ok, punk-ish) band, and Jeremy Camp is a Christian signer. What can I say, I have a wide taste in music.
16. In Kindergarten I won a guessing game at a school carnival. I won a huge stuffed dog, that I still have.
17. I want to get a tattoo (or two or three actually).
18. I have only owned two cars. My first car was a Honda accord. I drove that until Matt and I got married, and I now drive a Jeep.
19. I took French in high school. I still remember it a little bit, and can read it much better than I can speak it (I honestly think my hearing loss made it hard learning the correct pronunciation of words). I could probably talk with a 3 year old right now.
20. I love reading, and believe that books are better than the movies.
21. I swear I just turned 21… how do I have 12 more to go???!!!
22. My phone doesn’t have a data plan. If I go out and need to look something up (or post a picture to IG) I need WiFi. Luckily Target (and most places) have WiFi so it usually isn’t a big problem.
23. I hate ironing. It’s the worst chore ever.
24. I randomly break out into song during the day.
25. I feel I have grown a lot as a blogger over the almost 4 years (!?) I have been doing this. I hope to continue to grow.
26. Up until a few days ago, Matt and I had a full mattress. We upgraded to king (finally) and it is amazing!
27. A desert isn’t a desert unless there is chocolate in it. That is a fact.
28. I’m going to see Beauty and the Beast on Thursday, and can. not. wait.
29. “10 Things I Hate About You” is still one of my favorite movies. Although I haven’t seen it for a few years, I think I could still probably quote the whole movie.
30. I have made quite a few friends on this blogging journey. My husband thinks I’m cray-cray, and Annabelle always asks “it that your blogging friend” when I’m reading other people’s blogs while she eats breakfast.
31. I do not like spiders. I have only recently been able to kill them. If they are above my head, then I will bust out the vacuum cleaner, and use the hose attachment.
32. I’m kinda short (5’4). I don’t realize how short I am until I take pictures with my friends who are all taller than me.
33. I can’t wait to see what this year brings. 🙂
