First, I must apologize. I totally didn’t realize today that my What’s Cooking Link up didn’t get published last week. I am back on my game, and it will be published tomorrow! 🙂
This past weekend Matt, Annabelle and I headed Up North again for a few day stay. Matt’s sister and her husband also came up so we had a full house (and Annabelle had tons of people to give her attention). Unfortunately I forgot my camera! I was not to happy with myself.
We ended up visiting Sleeping Bear Dunes, which is on the west side
of the state. I had to take pictures with my non-smart phone, but I
figured some not so great pictures were better than no pictures at all.
Matt,
his sister, her husband and myself climbed the dunes all the way to
Lake Michigan. Annabelle stayed behind playing in the sand with Mimi (Matt’s mom) and her great- grandparents. She sure did have a blast in the sand!
As Annabelle was relaxing and having fun in the sand, the rest of us were trekking over many steep dunes to Lake Michigan.
I consider myself an active person. I work out daily, and feel I am in shape-ish. Climbing the dunes was a LOT of work. But the views were so pretty!
When we got to Lake Michigan there were a bunch of rocks with people’s names on them. Matt found some charcoal, so we were all able to to write our name on our own rock!
It was a hard climb, but I’m so glad I can say that I did it (I just wish I had my camera with me!).
Don’t forget to check in tomorrow for my What’s Cooking link up! 🙂
