It took a while, and a few adjustments, but Annabelle can finally wear her helmet 23/7. She doesn’t seem too phased by it, which is a relief. Although her head has grown (in the right way), I can’t really see a difference.
Here are some pictures to document the change.
Something cool did happen while we were at the grocery store. An older man came up to me to talk to me about her helmet. As it turned out his granddaughter was going to get her helmet in a few days (and from the same place I got mine). He told me about how upset his daughter was, but seeing me smile, and seeing Annabelle happy made him feel so much better. He even got slightly teary-eyed. I told him that it wasn’t really too bad, and the she adjusted to it right away. I also told him that he should tell his daughter to decorate the helmet, it makes it just a bit more fun. I’m glad that I was able to help him feel better about his granddaughter getting a helmet. I hope that he will be able to pass the good feeling along to his daughter!
